Since the birth of social networks, the challenges have become popular online and especially since the «Ice Bucket Challenge» in 2014. It is now during the times of confinement that the challenges have also become more and more numerous and come to occupy many people. A challenge on social networks is viral and consists of filming in action and challenging his friends, his followers to do the same. In recent years many challenges have become very viral, there are dangerous challenges, others for the good cause, sometimes useful…

For example, the Ice bucket Challenge consists of spilling a bucket of ice water on your head and then inviting your friends to reproduce this gesture. The goal of this one was to mediate the fight against amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and to raise funds. (celebrities made this challenge as Mark Zuckerberg)

The «Mannequin Challenges» is a video where people are filmed frozen in a showcase. It has even become a marketing spot for companies that have used the buzz.

During the confinement, there was the challenge of photos of childhoods, the goal being to post a picture of us as children and mentioned 2 or 3 people so that they do the same.

Staying at home, throwing ideas to the most creative, two new challenges with toilet paper entertain the canvas.

First of all, the first challenge is to film yourself juggling… a roll of toilet paper.

Then the 2nd «Toilet Paper Challenge» consists of setting up an obstacle in the form of rows of toilet paper, and observing whether his cat is agile enough or not to cross them.

If you can’t get out, you can still move your ten fingers. On Instagram, a filter offers its users to put their dexterity to the test by asking them to reproduce a random chain of hand signs. However, this challenge comes from the Tiktok platform, that is to say, the Whistlechallenge.

The challenges are often on the Instagram platform and for some time Tiktok.

This one has become very popular.

Tiktok, formerly Musical.ly, is a short video sharing mobile app. It’s a version of Instagram and Snapchat in filtered video format. This platform lets everyone’s creativity speak, users have access to videos of their communities they follow and can reproduce their choreography and song of their choice in playback.

Every week there are new challenges, which can be to just dance to the rhythm of a specific music, like the hips don’t Lie (Superbowl 2020), the Durachallenge.

But there are also more original challenges such as: - #Hideandseekchalleng : you had to disappear and then reappear unexpectedly

- #Eatonthebeatchallenge: this Tiktok challenge asked users to eat to the rhythm of a song. Tiktok also offers challenges related to current events. Like the Dontjudgemechallenge, which allowed us to reveal an unflattering self-image and to show off in its best light. These challenges bring Internet users together in this difficult time. They can also convince people to stay at home for the good of all.
